1. Who We Are

Balira Flow is a home management application developed and operated by Balira Flow ("we", "us", or "our"). Our website is balira.org and you can reach us at info@balira.org.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Balira Flow mobile application (available on Android and iOS), and the Balira Flow website at balira.org.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information stored only on your device

The Balira Flow app stores the following data locally on your device only, using your phone's secure local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

We cannot see, access, or recover this data. If you delete the app or clear your device storage, this data is permanently gone. We strongly recommend taking a note of any important dates or plans before uninstalling.

2b. Email address (newsletter only — optional)

If you choose to subscribe to the Balira Flow newsletter through our website or within the app, we collect your email address. This is entirely optional. We use your email address only to send you the Balira Flow newsletter — tips, updates, and home rhythm inspiration. We never share, sell, or rent your email address to any third party.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link on our website or emailing us at info@balira.org.

2c. Information collected automatically by third-party services

The Balira Flow app uses the following third-party services, which may collect certain information automatically:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

The free version of Balira Flow displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android), IP address, and general usage data to serve relevant ads. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

Brevo (Newsletter email service)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored and processed by Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our email marketing provider. Brevo processes your email on our behalf in accordance with our instructions and their data processing agreement.

Our website (balira.org) does not currently use any analytics cookies or tracking software. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tools.

Balira Flow is designed for adults managing their family homes. The app is intended for users aged 16 and over.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@balira.org and we will promptly delete it.

While the app includes features to help parents manage children's activities, the app itself is operated by and for the adult user. No data relating to children is collected or transmitted.

All app data is stored locally on your device using the operating system's secure local storage. We do not transmit this data to any server.

For email addresses collected through our newsletter, we use Brevo, a reputable email service provider that implements industry-standard security measures.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is processed by Brevo, whose servers may be located outside your country of residence. Brevo complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR, through Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards.

Google AdMob may also process advertising data outside your country. Google's data transfers are governed by their own privacy policy and compliance frameworks.

When you download Balira Flow from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, the respective platform may collect information about your download and device. This data is collected and processed by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, our practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify newsletter subscribers by email.
